The Morni...er, Afternoon Scramble - 8/19/2008

I may be late, but there’s a reason for it; a lot of good stuff over the morning through mid-afternoon period today….

  • JammieWearingFool wonders which “god” Nancy Pelosi thinks sent Barack Obama. Baal comes to mind.
  • Bonus “blessing” - Jim Hoft found an apparition on a grilled cheese sandwich.
  • Patrick McIlheran has the 4-letter answer (yes, it is safe for work; after all, P-Mac is the token conservative at the local paint-catcher).
  • Mary is trying to marry off Russ el-Feingold (Moonbat-Al Qaeda) to the Obamination ticket. Please, Barry; take him off our hands.
  • Dad29 exposes yet another Obamination Lie - campaign ethics reform. I think I had this back in the day (I’m too lazy to go through the archives right now), but it’s a good day to bring this back.
  • Lance Burri sees some shenanigans in the plan to seat Michigan’s and Florida’s full delegations. CHAOS, baby!
  • Van Helsing is pondering what I’m pondering; a T-H100 invasion of Denver. I say again, CHAOS, baby!
  • Michelle Malkin puts Obama in the Cone of FAIL.
  • Curt takes a WSJ chainsaw to Obama’s tax plan.
  • Brian Faughnan goes into the memory hole to prove Obama is dreaming of CubaCare. There’s no word yet on what will be traded away for medical equipment in year 7 of an Obamination administration.
  • Jim Hoft details Obama’s appearance before the VFW Convention. Obama was right when he said he didn’t change on Iraq; he’s still four-score for retreat and defeat.
  • Trail-Mix boldly predicts an Epic FAIL for Obama come November.
  • Matt Lewis has early news of a poll surprise. Allow me to plant another CHAOS seed.
  • RightwingSparkle found the mate of T-H100 praising John McCain. Let the CHAOS grow.
  • David Limbaugh states the obvious; a pro-abortion VP will be suicide for McCain and the RNC. Given the actions of both entities, I have this sinking feeling that this will be the “one step back” to pair with the post-DNC VP announcement.
  • The Vintage one has some good news regarding Joe Lieberman’s chances at being McCain’s running mate; the clock ran out on him 7/5.
  • Zip caught the ‘Rats turning the flag upside down and backwards on their credentials.
  • Fausta reports Google will be courting bloggers at both conventions.
  • Christian Schneider found the “one nation” the ‘Rats were refering to as their Day 1 theme - the People’s Republic of Delusion.
  • Patrick Ruffini has a winning plan for the GOP.
  • Even more Jim Hoft goodness - he exposes what The News Organization That Cannot Be Quoted™ thinks about Algore Goracle’s running mate from 2000. No wonder why they don’t like to be quoted.
  • The Game summarizes the last few months of Name That Party.
  • Van Helsing blows out the candle of the latest envirowhacko “crisis” - oxygen depletion.
  • J. Gravelle exposes the utter hypocrisy of the windmill envirowhackos. Those ugly turbines don’t mean a thing if they’re not hooked up to the grid.
  • XBradTC presents the Cliff’s Notes version of combined arms.
  • Eric explores life after Pakistani ex-President Pervez Musharraf.
  • Duncan Hunter mourns the impending loss of Pakistan as a semi-ally, and offers what should happen now on the Afghan/Pakistan border.
  • Bill Quick rides the growing Russian bear, whose growth is approved by the Europeans.
  • Laughing Wolf offers the most-expansive view on the Georgian/Russian mess I’ve seen, including a righteous beatdown of SecDef Appeasment Gates.
  • Michelle Malkin offers today’s episode of the Culture of Badassery (™, MKH), 85-year-old grandma edition. There’s nothing like making the perp dial 911.
  • Christian Schneider wonders where all the statues to real people have gone. Well, I don’t mind a statue honoring a clown-crushing elephant.
  • Day-late history lesson - Tom McMahon proves that, even in a barbaric environment, public outcry sometimes gets limited results.
  • Grumps and Pete Fanning have a problem with the folks at the Governor’s Mansion flying the flag at night without lights.
  • Phelony Jones has a word of warning for the bikers headed into town for the 105th Reunion - watch out for the potholes. After all, the governments have been spending the money meant for the roads just about everywhere except on the roads.
  • John and Sanger explain the basic difference between Americans (at least a shrinking majority of Americans) and the rest of the world. It’s all about blood-based micro-ethnicity.
  • Since I tortured you with that T-H100 pic, I’ll throw this palete-cleanser in for free - Chris the head barkeep put up a file photo of T-CC100 Sabathia. Let’s see; 8-0 for the Crew, 5 complete games, .571 OPS at the plate (the Astros made the mistake of walking Jason Kendall to get to him last night) - yep, he’s a Terminator; and I hope Mark Attanasio has the money to sign him for next season.

It’s still afternoon, if only barely. Guess this means I’m really back.
